HFC Kids - Discovery Woods

Bill Gunter serves as the Children’s Discipleship Director at Hanover Fellowship Church.
He is known in Awana circles as Commander Bill from his website of the same name and he founded Small Church Kidmin to help provide resources, support, and encouragement to those serving in children’s ministry in small churches. He has served in children’s ministry for over 30 years and has taught at several Awana conferences and other national children’s ministry conferences. He has a heart to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ by partnering with parents to disciple their children.
Below are activities for children at Hanover Fellowship.

Cubbies® is for 3 and 4 year old children (the two years prior to Kindergarten).
Children must be 3 years old prior to Sept. 1, 2025.

Awana Cubbies® celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word. Lessons (called Bear Hugs) include memory verses, Bible lessons, and activities that teach basic core truths about God, Jesus, and salvation. Multiple options allow leaders to choose what works best for their group. Creative learning activities encourage parent-child interaction at home.

Sparks® is for children in K-2nd grade.
Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.

T&T is for children in 3rd – 6th grades.
The T&T (Truth & Training) curriculum teaches kids the truth of God’s Word, trains them to follow Him and practice His grace. In this 4 year curriculum series, kids will explore the fundamental doctrines of Christianity including:

• The character and nature of God
• The structure and sequence of the Bible
• The redemption narrative
• Key practices for followers of Jesus

By encouraging kids to engage in highly biblical and highly relational discipleship, T&T helps students to grow and develop as lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.

KidzChurch

Picture
Sunday mornings, children remain with their parents for the first portion of the service, and just prior to the message, children (age 3 – 6th grade) are dismissed for children’s church (KidzChurch).

Once a month we have a family service where children stay in the service with their parents for the message.

Nursery

Picture
Infants and toddlers are welcome to remain in the service with you. It is fine if they make a little bit of noise. We do have a nursery room available for parents to use during the morning service if you opt to use it.
