Hello
and welcome to Hanover Fellowship!!
Although
there’s only so much you can learn about a church from
its web site, we’ve tried hard to deliver you the best
possible content. I invite you to check out our staff
biographies to see the highly gifted, well-educated
people with which the Lord has surrounded me. I invite
you to browse
through the many pictures of our members in action
to discover the compassionate heart and soul of Hanover
Fellowship—actively demonstrating the love of Jesus to
others. I invite you to click on our calendar
link to view the Bible studies and fellowships which
undergird our faith and promote our sense of “family.”
What
you won’t find on our web site is a picture
of a big church building with stained glass
windows and wood pews. (Maybe one day!)
For now, we think we’re in the perfect location—a
modern, state-of-the-art movie theatre with
great, comfortable seats and a nice big
screen for our PowerPoint slides (we’re
highly visual in our worship services).
And there’s plenty of floor space up front
for our praise team and me to share. Those
who doubted whether we could worship the
Lord in a theatre have since been sold on
the idea!
As
to our theology, we’re pretty conservative––we
believe in the truth of the Bible and in
the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
We affiliate with the Southern Baptist Convention,
the largest Protestant body in the U.S.,
in order to accomplish sending out missionaries
(the SBC currently supports over 10,000
of them!). On the other hand, we’re made
up of people from all backgrounds––Catholics,
Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Presbyterians,
and others. My prayer is that whatever your
upbringing, you’ll find in Hanover Fellowship
a place where your faith and knowledge of
Jesus Christ can continue to grow in leaps
and bounds. (Feel
free to listen to one of my recent sermons
on our messages page.)
I’d
like to close by extending an invitation
for you and your family to come visit us
in person. Feel free to bring the kids if
you want––we’ve got a superb nursery and
children’s ministry that deliver quality
care to dozens of kids each week. I guarantee
you we will do everything we can to welcome
you and put you at ease––we know it can
be scary to check out a church for the first
time. Let me know if there’s anything I
can do. You can call
or email me any time.
In
His Service,
Chuck
