Our Vision

We, the members of Hanover Fellowship Church, believe that God will accomplish great things in our midst.

We will be a praying community.

Husbands will pray with their wives. Parents will pray with their children. We will witness God responding to physical, emotional, and spiritual problems. As we stand prayerfully with our fellow churches and missionaries, we will witness spiritual principalities hampering their efforts being defeated. As we witness prayerfully to our community, we will witness the fog surrounding the eyes of the unsaved being lifted.

We will be a spiritually growing community.

We will be continually transformed and perfected through the hearing and understanding of Scripture. We will be “on mission” for the Lord, hungering to be involved in his work. We will be equipped to faithfully interpret and use the Bible as Christ’s ambassadors to the world. We will counsel each other by speaking the truth of Scripture in love. We will identify and support those called of God to leadership ministry. We will teach our children and youth in the knowledge of God to last their lifetime.

We will be an evangelizing community.

We will share the gospel message in our communities and volunteer for missions opportunities. When faced with evil, we will demonstrate the humility and mercy of Christ. We will grow by being faithful to invite others to our church services and showering our visitors with the love of Christ.

We will be a worshiping community.

We will treasure Christ, not musical forms or styles. We will worship together with our families. We will gather often to hear the inerrant Word of God preached with conviction.

We will be a serving community.

We will willingly sacrifice for one another. We will pour out the love of Christ to the hurting in our communities.

We will be a fellowshipping community.

We will cultivate deep relationships with each other and form small groups so we can grow together in Christ. We will seek unity in Christ, transcending the racial and cultural differences that divide the world. We will confess our sins to one another and unconditionally forgive all who sin against us. We will energetically guard the unity of our church and work to solve our problems using the model given by Christ. Our church discipline will always have as its goal the loving restoration of offenders.
